Stilianos M. Cambilis is an associate attorney with The Law Office of Rajeh A. Saadeh, L.L.C. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and Rutgers Law School. He has experience in litigating criminal matters at the municipal, superior court, and appellate level. Before commencing his work as a criminal defense attorney, Stilianos gained invaluable experience through his work interning at the Office of the Somerset County Prosecutor and as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Hany A. Mawla, J.A.D.

While attending Rutgers Law School, Stilianos earned a Criminal Law Certificate by completing a myriad of relevant coursework related to criminal procedure and adjudication, sex offenses, trial presentation, criminal law theory, and criminal law pre-trial practice. As a member of the Rutgers Law School Criminal Law Society, he regularly engaged with his colleagues to determine the best manner by which to litigate issues in the constantly evolving climate of New Jersey criminal law, including constitutional issues of pre-trial detention, aggressive advocacy on behalf of clients facing charges of driving while intoxicated, and balancing the interests of individuals and corporate structures in white collar criminal proceedings.

Stilianos honed his skills in litigation working at the Office of the Somerset County Prosecutor. There, he drafted a high volume of briefs and legal memoranda on trial and appellate matters including Fourth and Fifth Amendment issues, petitions for post-conviction relief, and bail reform. Stilianos made frequent court appearances for oral argument, bail hearings, and assisted on several complex matters. At the Prosecutor's Office, Stilianos assisted in court proceedings, in camera case management conferences, and warrant application proceedings.

After graduating from Rutgers Law School, Stilianos clerked for the Honorable Hany A. Mawla, J.A.D. There, Stilianos refined his research, writing, and analytical skills on criminal, civil, family, and chancery matters. Stilianos focused on his passion for complex criminal matters involving the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments, as well as the effective assistance of trial counsel and post-conviction relief. His experience with Judge Mawla fostered his ability to deliver a high quality work product on multifaceted, heavily litigated issues of law.

Stilianos prides himself in his passion for the law and embraces the challenges of diverse criminal law proceedings. He thrives in practice that involves scrupulous client interactions, precise attention to detail, and a professional atmosphere dependent on the careful balance of legal theory, the actual practice of law, and empathy for those he represents. Stilianos is licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey, and he is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is active in the Greek-American community and is fluent in Modern Greek.
