New Jersey realtors seeing more female clients

Single women in New Jersey are increasingly on the move.

Literally.

In fact, national and New Jersey realtor groups say that the uptick in home purchases by unmarried females is notably pronounced and indicative of a trend with real traction. A recent media report on the subject states that, “After married couples, the next largest demographic group of homebuyers is single women.”

Why would that be the case? What factors are materially driving that phenomenon?

Reportedly, a steady growth in job opportunities and well-paying stable careers for women is one central catalyst. That welcome development is enabling more women to confidently go ahead with home closings without having concerns over the lack of a supportive second income to rely upon. Of course, the same holds true for an increasing number of men who are scoring good jobs in the relatively revamped economy of recent years.

And here’s another reason: Many females who have been long-time and repeat renters are simply tired of the process and want a more secure foundation. Respondents to questions posed in the above-cited media piece routinely stated that continuously renting is a losing game financially. “You barely get your security deposit back,” said one woman. Buying a home “will actually benefit me and be worth it in the end,” noted another.

Buying a home is an exciting endeavor for every purchaser, as well as challenging for inherent complexities that attach to the process. Would-be buyers might reasonably want to consult with a proven New Jersey real estate attorney for guidance and legal assistance.
